The European Commission (EC) has announced that the
sixteenth meeting of the Eco-design of Energy-using
Products Framework Directive (the EuP Directive)
Consultation Forum will take place on Tuesday 17th November
in Brussels to discuss proposals on voluntary agreements for
imaging machine tools & medical imaging equipment.

fourteenth meeting of the Eco-design of Energy-using
Products Framework Directive (the EuP Directive)
Consultation Forum will take place on Friday 9th October in
Brussels to discuss proposals on eco-design requirements for
computers and non-professional electronic displays.
Following input from ELC-CELMA, the European Commission (EC)
has circulated a working document with a series of possible
amendments to the commission regulation with regard to
fluorescent lamps without integrated ballast, for high
intensity discharge lamps, and for ballasts and luminaires
able to operate such lamps, in advance of the meeting of
the Eco-design of Energy-using Products Framework Directive
(the EuP Directive) Consultation Forum on Tertiary Lighting
which is taking place on the 15th September.
A comprehensive plan to move the UK onto a permanent low
carbon footing and to maximise economic opportunities,
growth and jobs was published by the Government on 15 July
2009.
With numerous implementing measures under both EUP and
Labelling recently agreed or planned for agreement over the
coming years, Defra is now seeking stakeholders' views on
enforcement options with a view to put in place an
appropriate Market Surveillance Authority with adequate
resources and powers to safeguard the significant benefits
of these directives.
The European Commission (EC) has announced that the twelfth
meeting of the Eco-design of Energy-using Products
Framework Directive (the EuP Directive) Consultation Forum
will take place on Wednesday 24th & Thursday 25th June in
Brussels to discuss proposals on eco-design and labelling
requirements for domestic boilers. This follows on from the
earlier Consultation Forum on domestic boilers held on 18th
December 2007 (see
here).
The European Commission (EC) has announced that the eleventh
meeting of the Eco-design of Energy-using Products Framework
Directive (the EuP Directive) Consultation Forum will take
place on Monday 22nd June in Brussels to discuss proposals
on eco-design and labelling requirements for room air
conditioners, local air coolers and comfort fans.
The Regulatory Committee established by the Ecodesign for
Energy Using Products Framework Directive (EuP) agreed its
fifth Implementing Measure (via an EU Regulation) on 11th
March relating to electric motors. The text of this measure

The Regulatory Committee established by the Ecodesign for
Energy Using Products Framework Directive (EuP) will meet
for the eighth time on 27th March to discuss a draft
Implementing Measure (via an EU Regulation) relating to
glandless standalone and boiler integrated circulators. In
advance of this meeting, the European Commission (EC) has
circulated the draft Implementing Directive text on
Ecodesign requirements for glandless standalone and boiler
integrated circulators. This is the final version of the
draft regulation, following on from the draft EC document
circulated for comment on 6th February.
