The EU code of conduct for data centres launched this week
by the European Commission provides guidelines,
recommendations and examples of best practice which could
lead to a reduction in energy consumption by data centres
in Europe of up to 20%.
The Regulatory Committee established by the Ecodesign for
Energy Using Products Framework Directive (EuP) will meet
for the fourth time on 8th December to discuss a draft
Implementing Measure (via an EU Regulation) relating to
non-directional household lamps. In advance of this
meeting, the European Commission (EC) has circulated the
draft Implementing Directive text on Ecodesign requirements
for non-directional household lamps.
The European Commission (EC) has announced that the ninth
meeting of the Eco-design of Energy-using Products
Framework Directive (the EuP Directive) Consultation Forum
will take place on Thursday 4th and Friday 5th December in
Brussels.
