EU Committee Agrees Implementing Measure Establishing Standards for electric motors
The Regulatory Committee established by the Ecodesign for Energy Using Products Framework Directive (EuP) agreed its fifth Implementing Measure (via an EU Regulation) on 11th March relating to electric motors. The text of this measure can be viewed here.
This proposal (after translation into all official Community languages) will be sent to the Council and European Parliament for extended scrutiny. If the Parliament has no objections it will be adopted by the Commission and published in the EU Official Journal later this year. The first phase will come into force in June 2011.
