EU Committee Agrees Implementing Measure Establishing Standards for Battery Chargers and External Power Supply Units
The Regulatory Committee established by the Ecodesign for Energy Using Products Framework Directive (EuP) agreed its fourth Implementing Measure (via an EU Regulation) on 17th October relating to Battery Chargers and External Power Supply Units. The text of this measure can be viewed here
This proposal (after translation into all official Community languages) will be sent to the Council and European Parliament for extended scrutiny. If the Parliament has no objections it will be adopted by the Commission and published in the EU Official Journal at the beginning of next year. The first phase will come into force a year later.
