The Eco-design for Energy-using Products Regulations 2007

This new statutory instrument, transposing the Energy-using Products Directive (2005/32/EC) in the UK and consolidating the existing mandatory energy efficiency requirements covering boilers, household refrigeration appliances and fluorescent lighting ballasts is in force from 11 August. Defra has updated section 3 of the guidance notes at www.defra.gov.uk/environment/consumerprod/pdf/energy-products-regs-guide.pdf with the relevant publication details.
