The Working Plan
European Commission has commissioned a study to prepare the first Working Plan of the Eco-design Directive. The aim of this study is to bring together information and arguments as to which product groups should be future EuP priorities. The study will give the opportunity for input from all relevant stakeholders. The working plan shall set out for the following three years an indicative list of product groups, which will be considered as priorities for the adoption of implementing measures.
The study was carried out by a consortium comprising EPTA Ltd, PE International GmbH (former PE Europe) and the National Technical University of Athens. The web site of the project is http://www.epta.gr/xar/index.php/eco. The final report was published in November 2007. The report is available here.
The Working Plan was discussed at a Consultation Forum in Brussels on 28th May 2008. The minutes from this meeting are due to be published here.
A brief summary of the study can be found here.
